An Afrosurrealist Story
ECHOES is an Afro-surrealist story centered around the Nigerian civil war (Biafran war) and Eastern Nigerian (Igbo) spirituality.
Inspired by a series of pivotal events, filmmaker Ifenna Okeke taps into his cultural heritage, passion for storytelling, worldbuilding and personal life to develop a vision that looks into a fictional unseen world of the Igbo people.
Building on the foundation of identity and its social impact, artist and designer David Ogbe explores the relationship among storytelling, architecture, and symbolism through art, which represents personal and cultural identities.
This project is a labour of love by two artists, showcasing their love of art and its impact on their community.
